458 | Out of Hand!
“Room! Switch!” Before most of the crew could get demolished in explosions, Law used his powers to switch them out with some-nearby rocks. Saving his crewmates from the hassle of getting their new toys blown off. They were too tough to be injured by those puny explosions.
“Everyone okay?” Bepo asked, from behind Law’s seat as he stopped the bike.
“*cough… *cough… yeah,” Usopp said, “Thanks for the save…”
“Yeah, man. That was scary…” Bartolomeo said with stars in his eyes.
“Yeah, you don’t look scared…” Law deadpanned.
The others also managed to stop their bikes and looked at the path aheade. With how the forest was set up. No one would ever wonder that mines were placed underground. Even the ground looked unruffled, no way to spot where the mines were.
A few howls and roars from the distance marked their foes who were gaining on them. But…
*Boom!
It seemed that even they weren’t immune to the mines that laid on the ground.
“The whole place is a trap,” Cricket said, skewering one of the mines on the ground with his special sword, which had the ability to lengthen at will. The mine of course exploded out, even making a few mines that were nearby to go off as well.
“You know… getting past this will be SUPER difficult.”
“Eh… how did Nami get past that?” Coby asked.
The others looked at him as though he asked a stupid question.
“That’s like asking how Zoro get’s lost,” Robin answered. “Sometimes you don’t question logic, when it comes to our crew.”
That brought out a few snorts and laugh.
“But still… we will have to get past this,” Chopper said, after a while.
“Um… using Geppo?” Coby answered.
“No, that won’t work,” Gin shot the idea right off, “That won’t look cool. We have to cross it with out bikes.” Unsurprisingly most of the crewmates unitedly nodded at that suggestion.
“You know what… I give up,” Coby said, throwing his hands up in air. But of course, his tanturm was ignored.
“We need someone to clear the path right?!” Yosaku said, getting an idea, “Oi, Johnny… why don’t you use your sonic powers… I mean your voice can easily rip through most ships.”
The Griffin Zoan user blinked, “Huh, why didn’t I think of that before…” he said, getting off the back seat as he took a few steps forward, inhaling a lung full of air as he transformed into his half-zoan form and shooting out a sonic roar that gagued and ripped through the path in front of them.
Clearing out and destroying any mines that were laid in the path.
Usopp whistled, giving an appropriate nod as he squinted his eyes, “That cleared out quite the distance… but there might still be in the front.”
“That will be a problem,” Hatchan said, “Also, if Johnny’s powers worked that means any air slash or ranged attack will also do the job right?”
“Yeah, pretty much,” Usopp nodded, “you know what… there’s a good way to do this…”

Back in the observation room with Hogback,
“What kind of abomination am I seeing?” he said to particularly no one as the straw hat crew practically used their crewmates to shoot out ranged attack while jumping from one bike to other.
And what bothered the doctor even more was the stress-free lax attitude the crew was showing. They were supposed to be in fear, begging for their lives, trying to scrape out of the island. Not this…
Right as the doctor was thinking that his eyes fell towards the other monitors, which displayed an unusual odd scene.
The dark warts around Thriller Bark was in either flames or in ice, large sea king floated out lifelessly, with deep wounds on their bodies. The pile of headless sea serpents almost covered the surface of the red murky water, which was filled with blood.
Monstors… that was the only thing Hogback give the warlord crew members. Even Moria was a warlord, but even Hogback knew that Luffy and his crew was on a another league.
Every one of the sea kings which was controlled by him were dead, lifeless. Their corps making the sea a graveyard that bleed red.
Hogback could see the young captain laughing with his crew. A three-sword user that used fire, an elegant swordswoman, and a six-armed monkey who was freakishly agile and had some sort of power that slowed things down. All of them were strong.
And now that they had dealt with his sea kings, they would try to make it towards Thriller Bark and regroup with their crew.
“This is bad,” Hogback said, his voice having a hint of worry. Even his puppets won’t be able to do much against them. Sure they could take out a few of the weaker members, but they won’t even be able to touch the stronger ones.
He needed to do something drastic if Hogback wanted to stop the crew from spoiling his plan. Just a few minutes ago, his allies had assured him that they were on their way and he need not worry.
But Hogback would rather not be a desperate situation in front of his new allies. In the pirate world there were no friends. “Everyone’s a merciless bastard… but so am I. Its a bit risky, but if I play my cards right, all of the fools will be under my control before the night is over.”

Marineford, Fleet Admiral Office,
“Bahahaha… who knew that bastard Moria was beaten by his own man,” Garp laughed as he munched on rice crackers, “Bahahaha… this is some news. Didn’t he once challenge Kaido… the fact that he’s alive was something. But it seems that ‘something’ is a piece of shit.”
Sengoku slammed his fist on the table, “Would you shut up!” he growled as Garp ignored him, “I’m trying to do some work here…”
“Bahaha… uh, don’t be such a sour-puss,” Garp said, “Oh, by the way… why did you send that brat towards Thriller Bark? He was so down, but then again… he’s always like that. Bahahaha…”
Sengoku sighed, accepting the fact that he couldn’t get any work down right now. He rubbed the bridge of his nose as he put his glasses down, “You know why… they are also heading towards Thriller Bark. And thats the last thing I want…”
“But Luffy’s strong,” Garp said, “I mean I trained him… ‘they’ won’t do shit against my grandkid.”
Sengoku rolled his eyes, “That’s not the problem… this might turn out to be a bigger issue if Luffy beats them. Either way, we don’t want to escalate things, especially since we are already in war with Kaido.”
“Uh-huh… oh, by the way. Can I get a vacation for two weeks?” Garp said out randomly, making Sengoku lose it.
